Dr. Rebecca Smith was born and raised in North Florida. She served 4 years in the Air Force after high school. She then attended the University of South Carolina - Aiken for her undergraduate in Biology. After volunteering in an animal shelter where she adopted two of her fur babies and working as a Vet tech, she knew she wanted to make her childhood dreams come true and become a veterinarian. Her veterinary medical journey began when she accepted a seat at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine where she completed her didactics and then she completed her clinical training at the University of Florida. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, dermatology, and preventive medicine. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, hiking, watching anything FSU related and cuddling up with her fur babies Roxy, Kane, and Kitt.

“I really like that the doctors take the time to talk with me, explaining medical conditions, treatments, and answer the many questions I usually have. You can tell by the interactions that they truly care about your pets and a high level of compassion is always displayed.”
