After-hours emergency care

After we close, Tropicana Animal Hospital takes emergencies around the clock.

A pet already hospitalized with us stays here overnight, with staff in the building through the night. What we cannot take after we close is a new emergency.

Common questions

Do I need an appointment?

Walk-ins are always welcome. Surgery is the exception: an appointment is advised, and surgical patients check in between 7:00am and 9:00am.

Can my pet be seen today?

We are open seven days a week: 7:00am to 6:00pm Monday through Friday, 7:00am to 5:00pm Saturday, and 8:00am to 12:00pm Sunday. During business hours there is always someone here to help with an accident or a sudden illness. Call (702) 795-4440 first so we know you are coming.

What happens after you close?

After we close, Tropicana Animal Hospital takes new emergencies around the clock. They are at 2385 E. Tropicana Ave, Las Vegas, NV 89119, open 24/7, and you can reach them on (702) 736-4944. A pet already hospitalized with us stays here overnight, with staff in the building through the night.

How do I pay, and do you offer payment plans?

We take Visa, Mastercard and U.S. currency, and payment is due at the time of service. We do not provide in-house pet insurance or other payment arrangements.

What does my pet need before boarding?

Proof of current vaccinations. Dogs need Influenza, Parvovirus, Bordetella, Distemper and Rabies, with Bordetella boosted annually. Cats need FVRCP and Rabies. We strongly advise screening for intestinal parasites, and we will not board food-aggressive pets together.
